Abstract:
Artificial intelligence (“AI”) will affect the legal landscape in significant ways. AI tools offer important efficiencies and are poised to alter traditional lawyering; at the same time, they require careful navigation of professional duties and ethical obligations. The article encourages law firms to adapt their training, governance, and business practices to harness AI’s potential while being guided by the profession’s fundamental values and ethical standards.
